Its 8:20 am Friday...a nice sunny day in Phnom Penh and I'm blogging live on a wi-fi network at the first Cloggers Summit for Cambodian Bloggers. Way cool.
I arrived late yesterday for the Clogger Summit, the first major formal gathering of bloggers in Cambodia and never even got a badge, but what was worse is that I didn’t wind up with one of the cool tee-shirts that everyone else had. Snagged one today though!
The event is being held a Panasatra University of Cambodia’s south campus, quite a nice facility.
The auditorium and the whole set-up and vibe – wi-fi internet access, stylin’ projectors, geeks and nerds with gozmos and gadgets totally reminded me of conferences I used to attend in Silicon Valley.
The event is truly fantastic; well organized, smoothly run, populatd with lots of smart young techno-hip Cambodians and the agenda was comprehensive and relevant.
Some really top-notch speakers, including Beth Kanter and many others.
Naturally I ran into a few old friends…
Tharum, everybody’s favorite Cambodian blogger extraordinaire.
Phil Lees - Mister Phnomenon!
You-know-who (Jinja) and that nice guy from Singapore…
Of course I spent the entire afternoon listening to the presentations and discussions as I wandered around the room shooting photos. I definitely was no the only one shooting!
All in all, a very professional, informative, exciting and fun event with lots of time for networking, break-out groups and all the usual conference hoo-hah.
In an hour I'll give my presentation about photoblogging.
OK, that's it for now... I'll likely add some more text and photos in a little while.

Go Steve go! I think you're the official conference photographer.
It was my first time meeting many of these people, good to see them in the flesh!
Hope you managed to squeeze off a shot of Javier Sola doing the Clogger Dance! Look forward to seeing more photos!

Amazing photographs. Just happened by your Myanmar photos and hopped over to your site. I have been to SE Asia some 30+ times both on business and pleasure and your photos make me hop a plane ASAP.
