Behind the Phnom Penh Train Station
Just at dusk a few days ago I wandered down the dusty road behind the Phnom Penh train station which currently has no trains running. Down past dozens and dozens of old railway cars of all different sorts is a village by the incredible shrinking lake (that's another story). Very poor and rundown, not unlike the trains. Some photographic evidence:
this is definitely an excursion I'll consider on my next visit - if safe? I hear gunslinging stories from Phnom Penh at the moment. Are they real, or just old stories peeping through?

Wat Phn om is a safe area in the daytime, not so safe at night.
